KARIN’S WINGS 🪽

Brewed in memory of Karin Rose Pierson, who passed nearly ten years ago after her battle with cancer. Karin was the mother of our taproom employee Dennis, who’s been part of the Ghost Hawk family long before he ever worked here.
If you’ve spent time around the taproom, you probably know Dennis. He and his dad John were among our earliest supporters… part of the OG founding members club that helped get the brewery off the ground in 2019. Dennis moved out to Colorado for a few years, but when he came back home last year, he walked through our doors, asked if we were hiring, and he’s been a part of the team ever since.
When it came time to brew this beer, Dennis joined Chris in the brewhouse to help bring it to life… a small but powerful way to honor his mom’s memory.
Karin always loved yellow roses — her middle name was Rose — and she used to tell Dennis, “Love you to the moon and back.” You’ll find both of those details on the label, making this release a true reflection of who she was.
Karin’s Wings is brewed with 2-Row, Chit, and Cara Blonde malts, then hopped with Nectaron, Nelson, and Simcoe Cryo for waves of citrus, stone fruit, and tropical aromatics… bright, soft, and full of life.
We’re proud to dedicate this year’s Wings beer to Karin… a mother, wife, friend, and someone who clearly helped raise one hell of a good man.
💛 Proceeds from Karin’s Wings will be donated in her memory to support cancer research.
This one drops in cans and draft on Friday. Wasn’t planned as a Halloween beer, it just happened that way. But maybe that timing’s a little poetic.

This beer leans into that same chaotic energy… dry and punchy with big tropical hop character, and a Belgian yeast profile that cuts through the haze like a horn blast on Route 21.
Built on Dutch ale malt, oats, and a stacked hop combo: Motueka and Hüll Melon… with some Rakau Amplifire and Vista for good measure.

Brewed for our longtime taproom regular and good friend @joshgrigs, drummer for NJ’s own @houstoncallsnj… this beer is a tribute to friendship, great music, and great taste. Josh has always repped our West Coast styles loud and proud… and a while back, he approached us about doing a beer to mark something special.
That “something” turned out to be the 20-year reunion of his band’s 2005 album ‘A Collection of Short Stories’… with two shows coming up August 1st & 2nd at @crossroadsnj in Garwood. Friday is SOLD OUT… but tickets are still available for Saturday!
Built on a base of US 2-Row and Caramel Malt, then hopped with Cascade and a touch of Citra for bittering… this West Coast Pale Ale is crisp, bright, and dry. Made for crushing a few without missing a beat.
The can artwork is an official Ghost Hawk remix of a design done by Brazilian artist Vinicius Gut (@gut42), originally created for the band’s new merch line… shirts and hoodies featuring the original design will be available at both shows.
Cans and kegs hit the venue Friday, fresh off the line… and it’ll also be pouring at our taproom and heading out for full distro!

A nod to classic North German Pilsner tradition… we ramped the mash through multiple temperature rests to build layers of clean malt character, better body, and that signature snappy finish.
Brendan from @aebeerco does this on the regular, while Chris had actually never done it on our system before… and that’s the point of a good collab: two brewers, two different knowledge sets and experiences, feeding off each other and leveling up the beer.

ZED’S DEAD

German Pilsner malt, a touch of acidulated malt, and a firm dose of Saaz hops for that floral, earthy bite. This one is a CRUSHER.
Draft release drops this Wednesday… with cans rolling out Friday. Zed’s Dead will hit select distro locations beginning early next week.
We’ve partied plenty with the AE crew over the years… they’ve got a really solid team down in Aberdeen. Our first collab with them was down on their turf… a Cream Ale called ‘That’s My Beer’. So it was good to finally get one in the tanks at our place.
Load up the trunk, cue up your favorite Tarantino flick… and COME GET GONE! 💀
